The tabular aluminas are produced with the sinter from calcinated alumina at approximately 1.850°C. The end product contains large and plate-like crystals of alpha-calcinated alumina, which gives it the name of tabular alumina. The basic principle for the production of tabular
alumina is to produce a thermal-stable and controllable microstructure. This transformation is obtainable after several thermal physical steps.
Features
Temporarily fired alumina is pressure-formed on a briquetting machine, dried, and sintered at high temperature near its melting point (2050°C) in a rotary kiln.
It is a polycrystalline sintered body of corundum having a dense internal structure. It is high-purity SINTERED ALUMINA containing 99.5% of Al2O3.
