White Fused Alumina
White Fused Alumina is produced by fusing calcined alumina in an electric arc furnace under carefully
controlled conditions. The material produced is white in color, dense and has predominantly large
crystals of Alpha Alumina. Ingots are crushed, ground and precision sized at our plants . Magnetic
iron from crushing is removed by rare earth magnets to ensure extremely low levels of iron in the
finished products. This process ensures a very consistent sizing from coarse to fines, which is critical
in many applications.
