CORUNDUM ABRASIVE TOOLS

    Brown fused alumina, also is brown corundum, is referred to as the teeth of industry, it is used for kinds of grinding tools such as ceramic and resinous grinding wheels, grinding head, coated abrasive, also for sandblasting, polishing abrasive. Brown fused alumina is high hardness and good toughness. The 2%~4% of titanium oxide (TiO2) in Brown Fused Alumina will improve the hardness. It is the most widely used abrasive for grinding the material with high tensile strength, also used for coarse grinding, deburring, repair, and cutting of low alloy, black metal material.

    White fused alumina is more soft and friable. High purity (Al2O3 ≥99%) make it sharp, low temperature and fast cutting, and white fused alumina could keep shape well.Using the features of friable and low cutting temperature, it is suitable for grinding heat-sensitive alloy, and also be used for grinding heat-treatment tool steel, high-speed steel and internal grinding wheels.

    Chrome oxide of alumina is a kind of pink abrasive, used in the grinding applications when needing to be slightly harder than white fused alumina. The Cr2O3 of abrasive improve the grinding ability. Normally, the content of Cr2o3 is 0.45%~1.0%.
