Congress red mounted points are made of premium aluminum oxide grain in a medium to soft bond. Each point is securely bonded to the shank and then individually tested to assure a true running product.
Red mounted points are softer than the blue points and recommended for non-hardened, forged, and low alloy steels. Red mounted points exhibit a moderate break down which maintains a clean, fast cutting surface.
