In the year 1950, Fritz Wegner founded a trading company with tools for professionals in Hamburg. For over 50 years, using the name Friweg, the company made a name for itself even beyond the borders of Germany. Turbulence during the last 10 years and two ownership changes led to the company finally being liquidated in 2005.
