Diamond nozzle is composed of man-made PCD nozzle core and (metal or plastic) cage. The wear resistant working area of nozzle is made of polycrystalline diamond. The metal or plastic cage contributes to the precise outside dimensions while protecting the polycrystalline diamond in a favorable manner.

The nozzle made of polycrystalline diamond has unprecedented high wear resistance and features reliable performance and extremely long service life which is 10-20 times the service life of boron carbide nozzle, 100-200 times the carbide alloy (WC-Co) nozzle and more than 200 times the alumina nozzle.

Practical effect comparison test showed that polycrystalline diamond nozzle has a strong advantage and excellent performance price ratio. Test result is briefly described as follows:  

 Compare the diamond nozzle ф20×35mm with a bore of 6mm with the carbide alloy nozzle, boron carbide nozzle and polycrystalline diamond nozzle of the same specification. Perform sand-blasting on metal surface with high hardness using 24-mesh green silicon carbide sand. carbide alloy nozzle can be used for 8-10 shifts, boron carbide nozzle for 70-80 shifts and polycrystalline diamond nozzle for more than 1000 shifts.
