Demand for Brown Fused Alumina & Sub-white Fused Alumina Declines

In early April, most of brown fused alumina and sub-white-fused alumina markets keep stable. The mainstream taxes of brown-fused alumina dumping furnace interval sand, stationary furnace interval sand and sub-white- fused alumina dumping furnace interval sand are respectively around 4,350 to 4,450 Yuan per ton, 4,300 to 4,400 Yuan per ton and 5,200 to 5,300 Yuan per ton.

Enterprises in Henan show little enthusiasm for brown-fused alumina production at the moment and the abrasive market proportion decreases gradually. Some enterprises revealed that based on the demands and benefits situation in current abrasive market, they have made reduction on interval sand and fines proportion to survive, and use more blocks to process grain-sized sand in order to supply for abrasive wheel manufacturers, which simply maintain the basic function.

Sub-white Fused Alumina is produced by using high quality brown fused alumina as the base material. Because its chemical composition and physical properties are similar to that of White Fused Alumina, it is called Sub-white Fused Alumina.

Sub-white Fused Alumina has the hardness similar to that of White Fused Alumina and the toughness similar to that of Brown Fused Alumina. It can be used as the high quality abrasive and refractory materials. Sub-white fused alumina has no such issues as bursting, crazing and pulverizing during the preparation of refractory perform.
